Uncoupled method for static aeroelastic analysis

چکیده
Fluid–structure interaction (FSI) analysis is often highly computationally expensive, making it infeasible to conduct iterative aeroelastic design studies or rigorous optimizations. This work develops a new method for that can be more efficient in the determination of final structure/fluid equilibrium configurations, especially during where attributes structure may altered but those flow are unchanged. In this scheme, referred as uncoupled static method, usual approach performing fluid and increments time coupled manner replaced by many fully decoupled, thus parallelizable, structural analyses. Surrogate modeling results enables analytical interpolation intersections between physical solution fields, such being proposed FSI analysis. Since result sets calculated stored separately, re-used without additional when considered modified (e.g., study), enabling solutions quickly obtained while avoiding expensive evaluations. demonstrated herein on three examples: (1) rigid baffle, (2) cantilevered deformable (3) an wing. For each, found via shown closely approximate solution. Parallelization evaluations required generate data significantly less compared scheme. • Uncoupled introduced studies. Parallelizable runs surrogate computing solutions. Assumptions coefficient pressure allows conditions. accurate demonstration problems.

Static Aeroelastic Analysis with an Inviscid Cartesian Method
An embedded-boundary Cartesian-mesh flow solver is coupled with a three degree-offreedom structural model to perform static, aeroelastic analysis of complex aircraft geometries. The approach solves the complete system of aero-structural equations using a modular, loosely-coupled strategy which allows the lower-fidelity structural model to deform the highfidelity CFD model. The approach uses an ...

STATIC aeroelastic analysis capability that calculates A flexible air loads for generic configuration wings was developed. It was made possible by integrating a finite element structural analysis code (MSWNASTRAN) and a panel code of aerodynamic analysis based on linear potential flow theory. The framework already built in MSC/NASTRAN was used, and the aerodynamic influence coefficient matrix w...
متن کاملStatic and Dynamic Aeroelastic Analysis of a High Aspect Ratio Wing through CFD-CSD Coupled Method
The Solar powered unmanned aircraft have a high-aspect-ratio wings because SPUAV must satisfy the requirement of long endurance and high lift-drag ratio. Therefore, the structure of SPUAV‘s wings are structurally very flexible. The very high flexible wing might have large deformation and many aeroelastic problems. In this paper have a static/dynamic aeroelastic analysis through CFD-CSD coupled ...
متن کاملWind Tunnel to Atmospheric Mapping for Static Aeroelastic Scaling
Wind tunnel to Atmospheric Mapping (WAM) is a methodology for scaling and testing a static aeroelastic wind tunnel model. The WAM procedure employs scaling laws to define a wind tunnel model and wind tunnel test points such that the static aeroelastic flight test data and wind tunnel data will be correlated throughout the test envelopes. This methodology extends the notion that a single test co...
